This four-day course will cover crime scene management and basic photography techniques as well as general crime scene and forensic evidence photography. Officers will be taught the appropriate techniques to be used in photographing a crime scene and related evidence. To adequately cover the topic of night photography, there will be one evening session conducted one day of this program. A written examination at the end of the course and evaluations of the quality of photographs taken as part of the class will determine successful completion of this component of the certificate program.
