Planning and Responding to Crisis in School

This course is designed to promote participants to foster collaboration between school resource officers, local law enforcement agencies, and school personnel in planning for and responding to crisis situations. Using lessons learned, participants gain knowledge of key emergency management points, and how to utilize the ten steps to crisis preparedness. The course will give participants a view of crisis teams and their responsibilities and types of assignments. Additional material will be discussed on crisis drills, liability issues and how to address funding, planning and training. The course begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m.
