Sexual Assault Training for Rural Law Enforcement Investigators

 

The National Center for Rural Law Enforcement (NCRLE), a division of the Criminal Justice Institute, is a university-based organization committed to helping rural law enforcement agencies effectively combat crime in their communities. To ensure they can meet the challenge of law enforcement in the 21st Century, NCRLE's focus is providing education and training to law enforcement personnel in rural communities. The Sexual Assault Training Project for Rural Law Enforcement Personnel is one of NCRLE's national projects.

 

Sexual Assault Training for Rural Law Enforcement Investigators:
 

Project purpose: Through education and training enhance the capability of rural law enforcement personnel to manage and investigate sexual assault cases.

 

Curriculum objective: Provide investigators with the additional knowledge and skills needed to conduct a more effective sexual assault investigation.

Duration of course: 2.5 days (21 hours)

 

Eligible participants: Rural Investigators and First Responders; S.T.O.P. grantees
