Coping with Law Enforcement Stress

6 Hours

Law enforcement professionals are often subjected to an extraordinary amount of stress. This stress, if left unattended, can take a heavy toll on officers and can ultimately compromise their ability to perform essential functions. This six-hour course will identify potential sources of stress and will illustrate ways that officers can lessen its effect. Attention will be given to the agency’s role and the supervisor’s role in detecting and dealing with sources of stress. The course begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 4:00 p.m.
