The detection of criminal activity and the subsequent arrest
of suspects are for naught if the arresting officer cannot
skillfully and purposefully present evidence in a court of law.
This course is designed and presented by a prosecuting attorney
who will offer constructive and insightful advice as to how
officers can be more effective in the courtroom. Topic areas
will include: Elements of a Good Witness; Qualifying as an
Expert Witness; Content of Expert Testimony; and Trial Testimony
Hints and Tactics for Drug Cases, Property Crime Cases, and
Sexual Assault and Violent Crime Cases. The course begins at
9:00 a.m. and concludes at 4:00 p.m.
