COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This block of instruction will provide the most up to date intelligence on Mexican trafficking organizations, tracking their assets and the movement of money returning to Mexico. The instructor will identify the leadership of each Mexican drug trafficking organization, the shifting alliances, and the battles taking place between the cartels in Mexico and the United States to dominate drug trafficking networks in the Western Hemisphere. The presentation will also include an update of cartel activities and violence that has infiltrated into the United States. 
Further, an overview of the organizational structure of Mexican drug trafficking groups, identifying methods of money laundering operations, drug and currency routes, cartel training facilities, enforcers, the surge of violence on our borders, and the Mexican government strategy to deconstruct these organizations will be offered. The instructor will provide the most up to date intelligence on the Mexican cartels operating in the United States, identifying cartel domination of US trafficking routes, distribution points, assassinations and other violent cartel enforcement operations within the United States.

INSTRUCTOR:  Timothy Sellers
Prior to retirement in 2006, DEA Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Timothy Sellers initiated an investigation that led to the arrest of fourteen Hizb-I Islam Gulbidden and Taliban terrorists, including the leader, who claimed responsibility for the homicide bombing and murder of five Afghanistan National Directorate of Security (NDS) agents in early 2004.  He prevented a planned attack on U.S. and NATO forces by tackling an armed homicide bomber as he was boarding a bus loaded with innocent Afghans, blocks from US and NATO military headquarters, the Presidential Palace, and the American Embassy.  For this act, SSA Sellers was awarded the Drug Enforcement Administrator's Award of Valor and the United States Attorney General's Annual Award for Exceptional Heroism.

Prior to his assignment in Afghanistan, SSA Sellers worked 33 years in the state of Texas, serving as an El Paso, Texas police officer, and as a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.  During his Texas assignments, he worked extensively in undercover assignments penetrating and dismantling large-scale Mexican trafficking organizations.  Presently traveling around the United States, speaking to federal, state, and local law enforcement, military, and national service organizations.  SSA Sellers also appeared on Hannity and Colmes, Fox News Network in 2007 and "The Morning Meeting Show" with Dylan Ratigan, MSNBC in 2010.
