COURSE DESCRIPTION: Well-written police reports can be instrumental in solving a case or winning a lawsuit. Reports have to be factual and easy to read. This six-hour block of instruction will provide a concise and practical presentation of effective narrative report writing techniques for the law enforcement professional. Designed for officers of all experience levels, the program will include lecture, video and handouts on a wide range of critical writing skills.
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Sergeant Mike Welsh
Sergeant Mike Welsh, Conway Police Department, began his law enforcement career in 1990. In addition to serving as a patrolman for a number of years, during his career, Sergeant Welsh has been a Field Training Officer, has been assigned to Criminal Investigations, has been a patrol supervisor, and is currently the training division supervisor for the Conway Police Department. Sergeant Welsh attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
