The Criminal Justice Institute is pleased to announce our new course schedule for Winter/Spring 2021.
In addition to our online classes, we’re offering more than 80 classroom-based trainings in locations across the State.
Utilizing practical, hands-on application, CJI provides an educational experience designed to enhance the performance and professionalism of law enforcement.
Along with many of the traditional programs we offer each year, we will be offering the following NEW classes:
Emergency Management for Law Enforcement (8 Hours)
March 29 / Criminal Justice Institute
This course will lay a basic foundation for the understanding of emergency management history, current practices, and applications for law enforcement. Special event planning will be addressed.
PTSD: An Officer’s Survival Guide (8 Hours)
June 17 @ Jonesboro Police Department
PTSD is a growing epidemic in the law enforcement community, and those who work in the profession must take steps now to understand why is it important to understand what PTSD is, the signs and symptoms, and what coworkers, supervisors, and administrators can do to help those who are suffering with it.
Death Scene Investigation (24 Hours)
March 30-April 1 / Criminal Justice Institute
This class provides the experienced detective, crime scene investigator, or their supervisor with an in-depth study of the protocols, procedures and methodologies necessary to thoroughly process and analyze a death scene.
Patrol Officer Drug Investigations (16 Hours)
March 25-26 / Criminal Justice Institute
This course will present information on basic drug identification and cutting agents for each of the major drugs. Oftentimes, criminals do not conceal the cutting agents. Up-to-date drug trends and packaging material will be discussed.
