Cell Phones as an Investigative Tool

This two-day course will provide investigators with the knowledge of the type of data and evidence that can be stored on cellular devices and the proper procedures for the collection and preservation of cellular devices to maintain the integrity of the data contained within the device. The course will further provide investigators with the proper process for obtaining search warrants for data and cell tower information from cellular devices. The course will also provide investigators with several technological sources used to extract data evidence from these devices and provide investigators with the knowledge and ability to read cellular data records for evidentiary value.
