Identity theft is a criminal act where perpetrators wrongfully obtain and use personal information of their victims for gain, typically for economic gain. The financial costs associated with trying to restore one’s reputation can be costly and time consuming. This course is designed to teach law enforcement officers how identity theft and identity fraud occurs, strategies for the investigation and prosecution of these cases, and available resources to assist victims and investigators. This course is designed for all certified law enforcement officers.

This class is 7 hours.

Class hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
