Instructor Development
The Instructor Development course is designed to improve training skills for law enforcement officers who will present traditional department trainings and/or facilitate groups. Participants will learn how to provide instruction using practical applications and learning principles.
Topics will include: Principles of Adult Learning; Research Practices and Techniques; Methods of Instruction; Testing and Evaluation; Communicating Clearly; Designing Lesson Plans, Instructional Objectives; Utilizing Training Aids; Role of the Instructor; Public Speaking; Legal Issues and CLEST Forms.
This course is designed for all certified law enforcement officers with three or more years of law enforcement experience.
