Key Principles for the Law Enforcement Training Officer
Becoming the Training Officer for a law enforcement agency is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a select group of officers. A large part of a training officer’s duties include maintaining records, ensuring course registrations are completed, travel and lodging reservations are made, and ensuring sworn and civilian personnel attend and receive credit for training programs. Success in this position relies greatly on a few key principles including organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and keeping abreast of all required national, state, local, and department training. This class will give training officers the tools needed for success and offer practical ways to meet the trainings needs of your agency.
