Technological advancements are continually skyrocketing in capabilities. Law enforcement agencies must embrace and utilize these growing resources not only in investigations, but also for daily public safety needs. A growing national trend is the uptick in the creation of Real-Time Crime Centers at law enforcement agencies, both big and small. The prospect of a Real-Time Crime Center can be daunting, but the benefits of a standalone Real-Time Crime Center have proven the allocated resources worth the expense.
This course will provide students needed information for implementing a Real-Time Crime Center, from a mere concept to an operational center. Students will be instructed on objectives for a Real-Time Crime Center to gain public and agency approval. Students will be instructed on resources for funding and allocation of current resources for the Real-Time Crime Center. Students will also be instructed on the essential principles for an operational Real-Time Crime Center. The course will conclude with a demonstration of beginning to end implementation of a Real-Time Crime Center and how agencies can mold their Real-Time Crime Center to fit the needs of their agency.
This course is designed specifically for administrators and supervisors but will also be available to any certified law enforcement officer interested in the benefits of a Real-Time Crime Center.
