Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 6-18. The Youth Mental Health First Aid curriculum teaches a five-step plan to address common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in this age group, common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges, how to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis, and how to connect the youth with help. Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed for adults who regularly interact with youth, such as school resource officers and educators.
