This 2-hour course is designed to train first responders across the state in the proper pre-hospital administration of intranasal naloxone to reduce the number of fatalities which can result from opiate overdoses.

OBJECTIVES

Participants will be better able to:

  •  Implement learned principals to streamline their roles in administering and the distribution of Naloxone
  • Understand what can be expected when encountering an opioid overdose individual
  • Develop a departmental policy to establish guidelines and regulations governing the utilization of Intranasal Naloxone administration
