Apply Today for the 2019 Narcotics Officer Certificate Program


The Criminal Justice Institute is now accepting applications for the Narcotics Officer Certificate Program (NOCP). This program was created to offer Arkansas law enforcement agencies the opportunity to provide specialized training to their narcotics officers, providing participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills they need to conduct basic narcotics investigations. NOCP consists of five, three-day courses delivered once a month.  

The next session will be delivered in Little Rock at the Criminal Justice Institute on the following dates:
Week 1: July 30–August 1, 2019          Week 2: September 3–5, 2019          Week 3: October 1–3, 2019          
Week 4: November 5–7, 2019          Week 5: December 3–5, 2019

Program material is most appropriate for officers with limited narcotics experience; however, even seasoned investigators will enhance their knowledge and skills. Participants are required to attend all five components and pass all examinations to successfully complete the program. To participate in the program, an application letter must be submitted to Dr. Cheryl May from the applicant’s Chief of Police, Sheriff, Department Head or Director.
