The Criminal Justice Institute (CJI) is now accepting requests for surplus computer equipment that is available for donation to qualifying Arkansas law enforcement agencies.

We currently have a limited number of computer desktops, keyboards, and cables available for donation. Monitors are not provided.

By utilizing this equipment, law enforcement agencies can significantly enhance their operational capabilities and can allocate budgetary resources to other critical areas.

How To Request Equipment:

To request equipment, please complete the Equipment Donation Request Form. Once your request is processed, you will be notified by email regarding the status of your request.

Equipment Pickup and Delivery:

Agencies selected to receive equipment can pick up the items at the Criminal Justice Institute. If your agency is unable to retrieve the equipment, arrangements can be made for delivery. CJI staff periodically travel to various regions across the state, allowing for scheduled deliveries.

Distribution Policy:

In accordance with CJI policy, equipment will be distributed to law enforcement agencies based on demonstrated need.

The donation program would not be possible without the passage of Act 1028 of 2003, which amended Arkansas Code § 25-34-107 to allow Arkansas law enforcement agencies to receive surplus computer equipment from state agencies. This Act has effectively given small agencies with limited resources a better opportunity for procuring needed computer and office equipment and enhanced access to the Criminal Justice Institute’s online training.
