Only Available to Arkansas Law Enforcement

An officer may elect to pay for each class at a rate of $25 per class or purchase an individual membership for $125, which provides unlimited access to CJI classes for the calendar year. Your attendance will not count towards your agency’s membership plan.

 

To enroll on a per class basis, you must:

  1. Email a scanned copy of a signed and dated verification letter on agency letterhead to [email protected], which includes this statement:

This letter will verify that I, (name of registrant), am an employee of (agency name) and hold the position of (sworn/non-sworn) (position title), located at (address), am requesting an individual enrollment in a CJI class.  My email address is (________) and phone number is (XXX) XXX-XXXX.

Verification letters will remain on file for one year. You do not have to submit a separate letter for each class registration. However, should you change employment, please provide an updated letter.

  1. Register for the class. Please note that you may receive an acknowledgement email stating that you have not paid for an individual membership.
  2. Once your registration request and verification letter have been received, contact our finance department at 501-570-8048 or [email protected] to request an invoice. We have a new invoicing system for 2025 and once you are set up in the system, an invoice will be sent to you electronically for payment.
  3. When payment is received, your enrollment in the class will be finalized and a receipt will be emailed to you.
  4. To enroll in and pay for future classes, please follow steps 2-4.

What time period will memberships cover?
Unlimited memberships will cover a calendar year, January 1 to December 31. Memberships must be renewed on an annual basis.

Will any CJI classes be available at no cost?
We will continue to offer some of our grant-funded classes at no cost. Please visit Free Classes for a listing of classes that are offered at no cost.

What if I need to cancel?
We request a 2-week notice if you need to cancel your attendance in a class. However, we will allow for emergency cancellations.

If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, please contact the Institute as soon as possible at (501) 570-8000 or [email protected]. In many instances, courses offered by the Criminal Justice Institute fill to capacity. When this happens, officers who are not admitted to the course are placed on a waiting list to be notified if vacancies become available. By contacting the Institute in advance when you are unable to attend a course, CJI staff can ensure that those on the waiting list are given the opportunity to participate.

If I have to cancel attendance in an individual class, can I receive a refund?
If you meet the cancellation requirements noted above, a credit will be extended towards another class taken during the calendar year. However, officers who do not cancel will not be issued a credit.

What are the payment options?
We have a new invoicing system that will be used for processing 2025 individual memberships.  You must request an invoice by contacting our office at 501-570-8048 or [email protected].

An invoice will be issued electronically following your submission.  Please allow us 5-7 days to set up your agency in our system and issue an invoice.  Once your payment is received, your membership will be activated.
