The Basic Bicycle Patrol for Law Enforcement course is a four-day course designed to improve officer safety and performance and is intended for new and untrained police officers who operate bicycles on duty.

This training combines emergency vehicle operations with patrol procedures, tactics, night operations, and scenarios. Skills covered include body position, braking, shifting, climbing, descending, bike/body separation, wheel lifts, and much more. Essential information pertaining to bicycle safety when managing traffic and maneuvering through large crowds will be discussed. Participants will learn how to select and pack equipment, operate a fully loaded bike, and perform basic bike maintenance and on-the-road repairs.

This course is designed for all certified law enforcement officers.
