Hostile environments and crisis situations require that officers can diffuse potentially deadly scenarios with the least possible casualties. This forty-hour course is designed to provide law enforcement with the necessary tools to communicate with subjects as a trained crisis negotiator in volatile situations. Discussions will include: what to say and what should not be said; first responder negotiations; techniques for active listening; techniques for suicide intervention; and suicide by law enforcement officers. Emphasis will be on abnormal psychology theories.

This course is designed for all certified law enforcement officers.
