Using a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on exercises, this two-day course will explore basic photographic techniques and concepts. These concepts include: Camera Handling, Composition, Effective Use of Light, Camera Modes, Macro Photography, and the Basics of Crime Scene Photography.

Students should also bring a digital camera (digital SLR preferred), standard lens, macro lens (if available), batteries for camera and flash, digital media, off camera flash, remote flash cord, tripod, and a flashlight.  To incorporate night photography exercises the first day of class will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Class hours are 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Day One and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Day Two.
