This three-day course provides techniques for effective evidence and property storage and security. Participants will examine several methods and procedures for storing property in order to develop methods for improving the security, control, and disposition of evidence and recovered property. Participants will review policies and procedures for managing physical evidence so that it is admissible in court. Management of technological and electronic evidence, such as evidence from personal computers, cell phones, digital cameras, and digital storage media will be emphasized. Management of Evidence and Recovered Property and Advanced Techniques in Property Room Management have been combined into this comprehensive class. This course is intended for all sworn and civilian law enforcement personnel who have responsibility for the security, control or disposition of evidence and recovered property.

• Class hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
