Investigative Interviewing and Statement Analysis

This course will provide its participants the effective art of conducting investigative interviews with the use of a variety of techniques to elicit truthful information from victims, witnesses, and offenders in criminal investigations.  These techniques include an analysis in the subject’s behavior when verbally responding to investigative questioning and an analysis of the subjects’ statements in the verbal or written form. Using these techniques, the participants will be able to interpret and evaluate the statements made by the interviewees and identify indicators of deceptive behavior.
