Law Enforcement has been mapping crime scenes for decades, but most of that has historically be done by hand.  GPS coordinates provide an exceptionally high degree of accuracy but can be quite confusing to map.  Google Earth Pro is a very powerful mapping tool provided free of charge by Google, Inc.  It can be used for everything from accident reconstruction to crime sprees, and of course, geofence returns.

This course will provide an overview of Google Earth Pro including everything from setup to importing data and even learn how to animate a map.  It is recommended that those attending have a baseline knowledge of Microsoft Excel and, if possible, bring their own laptop to the course.  Participants bringing their own laptop will need access to either Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and the ability to load Google Earth Pro or already have it loaded by their IT staff.
