Narcotics Officer Certificate Program
Illegal drug activity continues to present complex challenges for communities and law enforcement agencies across Arkansas. The Narcotics Officer Certificate Program (NOCP) equips officers with the specialized knowledge, investigative skills, and practical techniques needed to effectively identify, investigate, and prosecute narcotics-related crimes.
Through comprehensive, hands-on training led by experienced professionals, participants develop the expertise necessary to conduct successful investigations, gather and present evidence, and support safer communities throughout the state.
The program consists of five three-day courses, offered once a month. Participants must attend all five components and successfully pass all examinations to earn the certificate.

Nomination Process
Applicants must be nominated by their Chief of Police, Sheriff, Department Head, or Director. The nomination letter must be addressed to the CJI Director and explain how the applicant’s participation will benefit the agency.
