This comprehensive 3-day course is designed to provide continued professional development for experienced School Resource Officers (SROs), enhancing both their instructional capabilities and tactical readiness. The course begins by focusing on effective communication and presentation skills, equipping SROs with proven strategies to confidently engage diverse audiences, including students of varying age groups, school staff, and community members. Participants will learn how to develop structured presentations, manage classroom dynamics, deliver age-appropriate content, and foster positive relationships that support a safe and supportive school environment.

Building on this foundation, the second half of the course transitions into critical solo-engagement tactics for officers who may find themselves as the first responder to rapidly evolving incidents on campus. Emphasis is placed on decision-making under stress, situational awareness, movement techniques, threat assessment, and the integration of mental preparedness with physical response. Officers will develop the skills necessary to act decisively and effectively in high-risk situations while prioritizing the safety of students, staff, and themselves.

To reinforce learning objectives, the course includes hands-on, scenario-based training utilizing Airsoft equipment in realistic mock environments. These practical exercises provide participants with the opportunity to apply classroom concepts in dynamic, controlled settings, allowing for skill refinement, immediate feedback, and increased confidence. By the end of the course, SROs will leave better prepared to educate, protect, and respond with professionalism and competence in the school community.

Prerequisite: SROs attending this class must have successfully completed the SRO I Basic course.
