This class will focus on the central role of effective verbal interaction in leading and achieving organizational goals.

Participants will identify the necessary skills for developing excellence in work groups, learn how to facilitate employee communication satisfaction, and develop skills for facilitating organizational change through strategic communication.  Emphasis will be  given to action planning for the development of practical communication skills for personal and organizational change.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course participants will:

  1. Recognize the central role of communication in Leadership and Team Excellence.
  2. Learn and be able to facilitate organizational change through strategic verbal        interaction.
  3. Develop an understanding of the key characteristics of successful teams.
  4. Assess their teams on the essential team characteristics.
  5. Identify important factors contributing to and inhibiting communication   satisfaction in their organizations.
  6. Learn how ethics and emotional intelligence contribute to excellence in leadership.
  7. Develop an action plan to develop a more effective team and action plans for personal and organizational change.
