Narcotics Officer Certificate Program
We are currently accepting nominations for the next session of the Narcotics Officer Certificate Program (NOCP). NOCP will be offered at the Criminal Justice Institute, 26 Corporate Hill Drive, Little Rock, AR on the following dates:
Week 1: July 22-24,2025
Week 2: August 26-28, 2025
Week 3: September 23-25, 2025
Week 4: October 28-30, 2025
Week 5: November 18-20, 2025
Graduation – November 20, 2025
NOCP was created to offer Arkansas law enforcement agencies the opportunity to provide specialized training to their narcotics officers, providing participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills they need to conduct basic narcotics investigations.
NOCP consists of five, three-day courses delivered once a month. Participants are required to attend all five components and pass all examinations to successfully complete the program. Core program topics include:

- Managing Informants and Cooperative Witnesses
- Search and Seizure
- Investigative Techniques

To participate in the program, an application letter must be submitted to Dr. Cheryl May from the applicant’s Chief of Police, Sheriff, Department Head or Director.
