Join us for the Sheriff’s Administration and Management Course

Do you work for an Arkansas Sheriff’s Office and rank as a sergeant or above?
Join us for the Sheriff’s Administration and Management Course (SAMC), which is beginning February 18 at the Criminal Justice Institute.
This program was developed by Arkansas Sheriffs and takes an in-depth look at day-to day departmental functions such as budgeting, jail standards, legal matters, and legislative audits. Critical information about the value of risk management and building relationships with other elected officials will also be discussed.
This 32-hour course will meet for two days every other month over the span of six months. The last week will host a four-hour round table talk where participants can network and discuss job related experiences, course material, current trends and best practices.
The classes will meet:
– February 18-19 (8:30am-4:30pm)
– April 29-30 (8:30am-4:30pm)
– June 24 (10:00am-2:00pm)
NOTE: Signing up for the February class will automatically sign you up for the April and June classes.
